ビジネスオーケストレーターという生き方 Life as a Business Orchestrator

「自分は何者か」を言葉にする作業は、しばしば結論よりも過程に価値が宿ります。この記事は、「ビジネスオーケストレーター」という言葉に辿り着くまでの思考プロセスを、できるだけそのままの形で公開する試みです。 The work of putting "who am I" into language often holds more value in the process than in the conclusion. This article is an attempt to make that process — the road to the words "Business Orchestrator" — visible, as close to its raw form as possible.

夢の考古学者、と名乗っていた時期がありました。けれど、しっくりこなかった。「発掘する」という比喩が、自分のしている仕事の構造に対して、わずかにずれていたからです。発掘するのは、相手自身。私はその発掘を起こす トリガー を設計し、出てきたものを構造として受け取り、社会と結合させる役割を担っている——この区別に気づいた瞬間に、言葉の輪郭が変わりました。 For a while I used to call myself "the archaeologist of dreams". But something never settled. The metaphor of "excavation" sat slightly off from the actual structure of the work. It is the other person who excavates. My role is to design the trigger by which excavation begins — and to receive what emerges as structure, and to connect it back into the world. The moment I saw that distinction, the outline of the word changed.

そこから、「指揮者」「セッション設計者」「場を設計する人」——複数の比喩を経て、最終的に「ビジネスオーケストレーター」という呼び方に着地しました。オーケストラの指揮者が音楽を「作る」のではなく、演奏者が発する音を受け取って全体を構造化するように。Win-Win が「倫理」ではなく「設計上の必然」として機能するのも、同じ構造に由来します。 From there, through several metaphors — "conductor", "session designer", "the one who designs the stage" — the words "Business Orchestrator" came to settle. As the conductor of an orchestra does not make the music but receives the notes the players bring and structures the whole, our work has the same shape. The fact that Win-Win functions here not as "ethics" but as "structural necessity" derives from this same shape.
